Cushion covers are one of those things where the actual washing isn’t the problem. It’s the cover itself. Wrestling it off the cushion, then twenty minutes of wrangling to get it back on. Most people would rather sit on a dirty cushion than do it again. Meanwhile the fabric has been soaking up sweat, oil, and dust the whole time. This fortnight, Oskar refreshes a cushion cover with micro-dry steam, without ever taking it off. The heat works its way into the fabric, kills the mites and bacteria a cold wash leaves behind, and dries in minutes. A better clean than the machine could give, without the fight.
